ABOUT ME
I create impact through product, systems and organisational change.
I'm a focused and curious product designer who enjoys working across product, design and strategy. I like getting into messy problems, bringing clarity to teams and turning user insight into experiences that feel useful, thoughtful and easy to use.
At TrustedHousesitters, I’ve delivered impact across acquisition, discovery, onboarding, matching, search, member experience and SEO. I also founded our cross-functional Accessibility Champions group, helping make accessibility a more consistent part of how we design and build. Within the design team, I own our Design Drit process, evolving the format to make it more useful, focused and inclusive. Facilitation is a core strength of mine, from running strategic workshops to helping teams align around clearer decisions.
Outside of my core product work, I invest in the people and practices around me. I mentor designers through ADPList, participate in hiring processes and volunteer in the DEI team at TrustedHousesitters.
Earlier in my career at The Student Room, I led a registration redesign that contributed to a +400% YoY uplift in registrations, alongside improvements in data capture, ad viewability, click-through rate and accessibility compliance.
A lot of my work is about creating impact beyond the screen: improving products, shaping better ways of working and helping teams make clearer decisions. I'm now looking for roles where strategic thinking, experimentation and organisational impact are valued as much as strong execution.
Design and leadership principles
Evidence over opinion
Frame problems as testable hypotheses. Decide with research, data and leading indicators rather than the loudest voice in the room.
Be the member
Dogfooding is a great way to build fast, embodied empathy. Use the product the way our members do.
Problem first, together
Align on the problem with cross-functional partners before jumping to solutions. Shared problem framing produces better outcomes.
Design for the system
Every change considers all users, plus upstream and downstream impact across the product and the team.
Empathy and inclusion
Treat users and peers with respect and clarity. Be inclusive by default - in research, in design and in collaboration.
Thin slicing
Phased, iterative releases deliver continuous value, protect what's already working and let us validate learnings rather than solutions.
